Cloudy tumbler from the salt kiln

Salt-fired porcelain tumbler.

 The outside features a water etched design of clouds, with a dark blue slip. On top of this, a lively glaze is thinly sprayed and it interacts with the salt from the firing giving matte and glossy spots, some subtle chrystals and orange peel skin.

The interior is finished with a glossy, transparent chun glaze, shifting between blue-grey and green, with occasional iridescent speckles and a fine crackle. It is smooth and pleasant to drink from. 

This tumbler comfortably holds 150 milliliters. The base is relatively thin, giving it a light and delicate feel in the hand.

With a rim diameter of 8 centimeters, a height of 6 centimeters, and weighing 150 grams, it is small, balanced, and comfortable to use.

This piece is food safe. Hand washing is recommended.
