Salt-fired galactic bowl

Salt-fired bowl.

The exterior is sprayed with a thin layer of blue slip, which fired to hues of gray with brown shadows. One side of the bowl is layered with a lively glaze, while the interior displays a smooth glossy shino glaze. The outer surface is adorned with a design of clouds and thunderbolts.

The bowl measures 16 centimeters in diameter, 9.5 centimeters in height, and weighs 440 grams. It stands on a high foot ring. It holds 500 cc of your favourite food.

The glaze got a little too enthusiastic during firing and stuck to the kiln shelf. I had to grind away a section of the foot ring to make it smooth. 

This is why it is offered at a lower price.
